Carter BloodCare

Carter BloodCare is the largest blood center in Texas. It is the not-for-profit community blood provider in Dallas, Fort Worth, Waco and Tyler. Carter BloodCare was founded in 1998 after a merger between two local blood centers and in 2007, it merged with Stewart Regional Blood Center, based in Tyler, TX. As a result, they have provided North, Central and East Texas with 330,0000 units of blood each year. It currently serves more than 200 medical facilities throughout 58 counties across Texas and maintains deep ties to the community through its local Board of Directors.

The most unique part about Carter BloodCare is its commitment to serving the community. It is very proactive in recruiting new donors and is dedicated to supporting blood drive coordinators. It also has a fleet of fully functional blood donation coaches. These coaches are equipped with interview booths, donation beds, refreshments and all required medical equipment to collect blood.

Carter BloodCare’s main campus is located in Bedford, TX. It recently opened a Central Texas Headquarters on October 2013.
